The Rex Tamworth

The owner was friendly, and for 50 bucks I got a very comfortable room of my own with simple but comprehensive facilities. I’d planned to stay again, but sleeping there was impossible. The whole building is extremely noisy, and every sound carries through it: stomping feet, slamming doors, snorting, coughing, all of it. Avoid it if you’re a light sleeper.

We felt at ease as soon as we arrived at The Rex. We made some great friends while still having privacy of our own, and the price was good too. It was a fantastic place to stay and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tamworth who needs somewhere to stay.

We stayed at The Rex for three days. I felt ill when we arrived, but we called Jody and were able to go straight to our room even though she wasn’t there. The rooms were nice and clean, and the amenities were good. Jody is easy going and does a really good job running the place. Thanks so much for a great time!

We loved spending the Tamworth Country Music Festival with Jodie. The rooms were clean and well kept, and we enjoyed the lovely company of her and the other guests each day. She’s renovated this awesome guest house from the ground up, and it’s a real credit to her. We even got to relax with her on the front porch over a wine or two, which she deserved. You’ll always get critics, but anyone wanting a maid and five-star service should go to the Hilton. We stayed somewhere similar two years ago, and this place was ten star compared with that filthy joint. We’ll definitely stay with you again! Cheers, Kerrie & Stephen 😁
