The setting at Bear Gully cottages made this such a memorable family break. We spent five days there, getting back to nature together, and it's the kind of holiday we'll remember for the rest of our lives. The cottages feel special, and the location is incredible. It was very family friendly too.

Woke up to the sunrise this morning, with ocean views right from the accommodation. Fantastic place to stay.

The cottage has plenty of room to spread out and unwind, and it's well equipped, including a wood burner. Everything feels peaceful, with farmland and coast all around. The easterly views are amazing, and the sunrises are worth the early start. We were lucky enough to spot a koala and wombats, along with loads of birds.

We stayed in the Shearwater cottage, a nice spot to get away with beautiful views across the bay towards Wilson's Prom. The beach is an easy walk, though the way there could be signed better. It's quite rocky, so swimming isn't ideal. There's not much to do at the property or nearby, and you'll need to travel for good cafes, restaurants, or longer walks. It's a lovely place to hang out if that's what you're after.

From the property, Wilsons Promontory National Park is an easy drive away, and the nearby beach is just a short walk. The houses are fully equipped and look out over Wilsons Promontory National Park and Bass Strait. We were lucky to spot a wombat on the property, and Bernie (the house koala) was asleep in the tree beside our veranda while we enjoyed the view from it.
