The room had a good Seaview, which was ideal, and the older couple running the place were lovely and served a good breakfast. I stayed eight nights, though, and the room wasn’t serviced or the amenities replenished. The doors were all heavy and difficult to open. Even so, I’d stay here again.

The location was a real plus, opposite the beach and near the ocean baths. But the apartment was old and needed a thorough clean. The bathroom was very mouldy, and the toilet kept running unless you pushed the flush twice. The sink in the toilet area and the kitchen sink both needed cleaning, and the cupboards were greasy and smelled bad. The garage also didn’t lock. We stayed for two nights.

Linda and John were very polite, and Linda even sat with us for coffee and a chat. She went out of her way to make breakfast the way we liked it. The accommodation is older, but it was clean and pleasant. Thank you.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which takes up half of the top floor in the northeast corner. The open-plan balcony is large and looks over nearby rooftops to the ocean, with glimpses of dolphins passing by. Inside, there’s a comfortable king bed, a lovely spa, and a small kitchenette with a fridge, oven and microwave. Breakfast comes to the room between 8 and 9:30am. You need to submit your choices by 7:30pm the night before. The quality was fairly average, though John and Linda did excellent bruschetta and omelettes. Since you’re staying in their home, it helped that our hosts were welcoming and accommodating. The location suited us well, and we’d definitely return.
