The big wood fire made dinner lovely. Our room was comfortably rustic, with a good bed and fresh bedding. The shower had great pressure, and the white towels were fluffy and clean. Brian, the friendly owner, greeted us for our two-night stay.

We were very happy with our visit. The pub is friendly and little, and the rooms are a generous size with new carpets and comfy beds. The sirloin steak was tender, delicious, and generously sized, served with fresh vegetables. Cold beer and reasonable prices, too.

Mitch in the kitchen puts out fantastic meals, whether you go for a schnitty, steak, or pizza. For something lighter, the Chicken Wrap is to die for. Bree & Bill are a real asset to this small pub, always greeting you with a smile and a cheeky yarn. They make a point of chatting with the older crowd, which is a credit to them for their generation. If you're out tackling 'The Rock', pop into the The Kings Own for a cold frothie and a bloody ripper feed.

There’s plenty of parking for vans, so do give the place a try. The meal was superb, and they went out of their way to meet dietary requirements. Very friendly service made it a pleasure to eat here.
