Milkwood

I probably wouldn't recommend Milkwood. At that price, I expect there are better options. We had a difficult time with the shared driveway and the neighbours, who were rather unpleasant about parking. It seemed they tried to block us in while we were loading the car to check out. The listing says parking for two cars, but two SUVs don't fit, so the second car has to use the overnight car park. Clear parking signs, advertising one space, and explaining the parking arrangements in the arrival paperwork would help. The property manager and neighbours should also talk about how to better accommodate holidaymakers and each other's needs. Other things fell short for a pricey week's holiday. There were only two partly used toilet rolls for six people over five days. The mattress protectors were stained with what looked like various bodily fluids. There were no doona covers, just bedding sandwiched between sheets that came loose the first night. We found Maltesers, popcorn, and dried fruit under chairs from previous tenants, which wasn't great with small kids around. The smoke detector didn't appear to work, and the safety information inside the front door said two people could sleep in the house, although it was advertised for up to eight. Some of these issues might matter less at a lower price, but we expected better for what we paid.
