Tilda Tilda is such a lovely, cute town, but I was sad not to get into the garden. I’d been hoping to see my third cousins’ gardens all my life and didn’t get the chance because it was closed. I didn’t realize it was only open at certain times, so I should have checked beforehand. I guess things work differently in the country.

We had delicious crepes for breakfast, and the room was clean and cozy, with a really comfortable bed. Lyn made us feel welcome. It’s a peaceful, romantic place to get away.

The owners were warm, responsive and clearly put a lot of care into keeping everything spotless. We loved wandering through the gardens, too. Foxglove is in a charming historic town that’s been beautifully preserved, and the accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. A peaceful stay with a lovely mix of history and natural beauty. Highly recommend Foxglove.

The gardens look quite tired now. I can imagine they were great in their day.

We stayed in Olive tree cottage from 24th Dec to 26th Dec 2023, with the creek behind it. Such a lovely, peaceful spot to relax. Breakfast was delivered to our room and was delicious, and the hosts were wonderful. We’d happily visit again and highly recommend the place! 😊
