We loved the place and its friendly hosts, and it's really close to Wilson Prom. Meeting Meg and her husband was lovely, and her hospitality and stories made the stay special. The homemade pastries were delicious too. The rooms are right beside each other, though, so privacy was the one drawback. Still an amazing experience.

The room stayed lovely and warm through the cold winter nights, thanks to the electric blankets, though they could get a bit too warm. The bathroom's heated light helped too, and the shower had plenty of hot water with easy temperature control. Breakfast was included, with bread and spreads as well as yogurt and cereal. Meg and her husband are such sweet, polite hosts. They've been welcoming guests for nine years, since 2010. Meg had local pamphlets ready, suggested places to visit, and helped us see the area in a local way. The lodge is about a 40-minute drive from Wilson's prom. I'd happily stay again if I visit Melbourne, and hope both hosts age gracefully.

Even for just one night, this was a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and basic toiletries were supplied. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Meg was so welcoming, showed us around, and explained where we could go.

Meg made us feel very welcome. The house was lovely, with a nicely presented room and a very good ensuite. Guests also have a well-stocked sitting room with books, games and historic photos, plus a small dining room.

Our garden room was comfortable and had everything we needed for two nights. The hosts were warm and friendly, and Foster is a beautiful town with plenty for someone who likes exploring. We'd recommend Litchfield Lodge to anyone stopping in Foster.
