Hollyoak

We had a really enjoyable two-night break at Hollyoakes. Helen and Bryan were welcoming, helpful and full of useful information. Bryan even mowed the grass again so we could play Bocce, and Helen had great suggestions for dining nearby. Breakfast came with homemade compotes and jams, and the coffee was excellent. The area is peaceful and pretty, and Hollyoakes was clean, comfortable and friendly. We'd definitely recommend staying here. We're glad we didn't let the negative reviews about the owners put us off.

We had our own private space by the fireplace, with no interruptions, and could properly relax. After a comfortable lie-in, we were served a magnificent breakfast before heading off. Bryan & Helen made sure everything was easy for us and treated us far better than we expected. When we learned the local Pub had stopped serving meals due to Covid, Bryan suggested picking something up at the local IGA, then surprised us by cooking it and doing the dishes too. The residence was delightful, the stay was great value, and I highly recommend Bollyoak if you're visiting Trentham. Thank you, Bryan & Helen.

Take cash to pay for your stay. The credit card transaction looked like it hadn't worked, but it had, so I paid using two cards and cash as well. Bryan doesn't want to know about it, and I'm still waiting for the banks to return the money.
