Bimbadeen Phillip Island Farm Retreats

We stayed in cabin number 2 for two nights. It was quiet and okay, and being near Cowes and the Penguin March was handy. But the flyscreens in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom needed cleaning, and there was dust and dirt on the kitchen sills and on one bed after we left the windows open. My partner thought the place had a strange, unpleasant smell. If you have allergies, be aware: after dinner both nights I came back sneezing like crazy for a while. Once I went outside, it cleared up.

The farm setting and views made this a lovely, relaxing stay. We were four people, and the villa felt homely with plenty of room. The bedrooms were very spacious and spotless, and the modern washrooms were well cared for. We also enjoyed a short walk to see the sheep and alpacas. I'd recommend it for a peaceful farm break.

We spent the evenings with wine on the patio at sunset, then looked up at the stars. Feeding the alpacas was another highlight, and the whole stay felt healing. The green fields and sounds of nature made it easy to get away from city life. We could make breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen and cook steak dinners at home. Thank you to the owners for running such a calming retreat.

Jenny's kindness was what made this stay memorable. When our vehicle lost traction on a slope near a cliff and we had no phone signal for roadside assistance, I contacted her on WhatsApp. Though it wasn't her responsibility, she reached out to the right people for us and helped coordinate things until assistance arrived. Her quick response made a big difference, and we're very grateful. The villa was already spotless and welcoming when we arrived. Jenny had prepared it in time after I mentioned we might get there a little before check-in. It was spacious enough for our five adults, clean, well-equipped, and gave us a peaceful farm stay. We highly recommend it for families.
