Apollon Motor Inn Golden Chain

The Apollon Motor Inn is just a short walk from the esplanade, Granite Island causeway and main shopping centre, which makes getting around simple. We’ve visited Victor Harbor regularly over the years because it feels safe and works well for families, and we’ve stayed here each time. The owners are welcoming and caring, and the service and facilities have consistently been to a high standard. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Our family room was spacious, with two separate bedrooms, a living room, plenty of appliances, utensils, cutlery and glasses, plus a fridge. The indoor pool and games room kept the kids entertained. We highly recommend it.

The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, always up for a chat or happy to offer advice. That made our stay feel especially nice. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the motel itself was quiet and clean. The retro decor and antiques gave it a homey feel, with a little indoor pool too. It’s about a minute’s walk to the beach, cafes and shops. We had a wonderful time in Victor Harbour and would love to return. Thanks for having us!

This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff, and I keep coming back for that kindness. The pool is always nice to swim in. On my last visit, my car broke down, and they let me leave it there while I arranged a quick repair after checkout. They also let us keep the room open while we sorted it out. Many thanks.

A fun, friendly place for a family reunion, with shops, cafes, restaurants and the waterfront all within walking distance. We especially enjoyed the evening meal, and Lula & George, the owners, and John, the manager, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were fresh, clean, roomy and comfortable. The conference and communal room had tea and coffee and connected to a large games room with table tennis, a pool table, a big screen TV, games and a cosy wood heater, much appreciated in winter. It worked really well for our extended family, with facilities for all ages.
