The grounds were lovely, but the kids' facilities were disappointing, with several games out of order in the games room. The pool is advertised as heated, but it wasn't, and our grandsons found it too cold to spend much time in during our chilly summer stay. We paid for a two-bedroom pet-friendly unit, and while taking our dog on holiday was great, the accommodation was below average. It was worn inside and not clean to the standard we expected. The double mattress was so uncomfortable that my husband slept on the couch the second night. The mattresses and blankets were stained, and the old kitchen was dirty and sparsely equipped. The fridge was a good size, but looked very rough. For the price, we expected much nicer accommodation. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all, and staff didn't seem to care when I raised it. We take our grandsons away each Christmas break, but won't return unless the accommodation and facilities are worth the cost. Other units might be better, but I don't want to risk it, especially since the marketing photos didn't seem to match what we got. I wish I'd taken photos. Very disappointing.

There were eight adults, four three-year-olds, and a baby in our group, and we all had a lovely stay at VH. The cabins were clean, practical, and had a surprising amount of storage. Everything at the campsite felt safe and easy for the children to get around. Their favourites were mini-golf, the pool, and the jumping pillow. The water was very cold, but we still got in. A lovely little getaway close to home, and we'd highly recommend it to families with kids. Thank you!

We've made this park our Christmas holiday regular, and camping here is always lovely. Staff are attentive and helpful, and all the amenities suit us well. Our kid especially loves the water slides, pool, go-karts, and bouncy jumping thing. The wood-fired oven is something we haven't found at another caravan park we've visited. The pizzas were so good we ate too much to walk afterwards, and it was a treat since we don't have a wood oven pizza at home. They provide kindling and wood too. Thanks to all the staff for the great service, and special thanks to Ian for the chats and for helping me fix my spectacles. That was a lifesaver. 10/10 for us.

We stayed at Victor Harbour Holiday Park over Christmas and into the new year, and really enjoyed it. It's a large park with plenty to do, powered and unpowered sites, and a good range of cabins. There are two pools, a water park, two well-equipped camp kitchens, and spotless amenities that are cleaned often. Gin nights, pizza night, and the on-site eatery brought campers together. We appreciated the pet-friendly sites too. It's an easy walk to the beach and a short drive into town. We used the park as a base to explore the Adelaide region, with the city about an hour's drive away. There was lots to see, including a great walk to Granite Island for views of the mainland and sea, a steam train ride, McLaren Vale wineries, and a horse and cart ride. We look forward to coming back.

We decided to leave a day early after repeated hot water trouble in the shower meant cold showers with children. The park staff were courteous and responsive, but maintenance couldn't fix the problem while we were there. When we discussed it with the manager, we were told only our family and a maintenance worker had had the issue, suggesting we might have been using the shower incorrectly. The manager refused to refund our last night. After some back and forth, we were given a one-night park voucher valid for 12 months, but we have no plans to return within that period, so it isn't useful to us. We won't be back. We stayed in Rosetta Cottage at Victor Harbor Caravan Park. The park has good facilities, and our clean but run-down cabin faced the playground and jumping pillow, with the pool and water park a short walk away.
