We made the trip all the way from Melbourne and camped on a powered grass site. There’s plenty of grass for kids to play, and cabins too if you don’t want to camp. The staff are friendly. There’s a guest pool with a sunshade, playground, and giant chess board, plus free wifi. The shared kitchen and fridges and the laundry are useful. A wash costs $7, and the dryer is $1 for 10 minutes, or you can use the clothes line. The kitchen and laundry close at 10:00pm. There are showers and toilets, I think five of each, along with one ambulant toilet and one ambulant shower. There’s a river at the back where you can fish, though it isn’t suitable for swimming because the current is very strong.

The service station next door has a grocery store, which was handy, and it was nice having the river at the back of the property. But we wouldn’t stay here again, especially in hot weather. We were in a cabin for two nights at the start of summer, and the aircon couldn’t keep up. The living area was cool, but the west-facing bedroom was stifling. The pool closed at 6pm, which was disappointing when it was still light and a lovely time to swim.

Bring bikes if you want to get into town and leave the car parked for the weekend. The river track is next door, and it’s a short ride into town away from cars and road traffic. It’s a great, family-friendly holiday park, and the cabin accommodation is new and clean. I’d recommend it and will return.

We usually choose an uncovered caravan site so we can wake up to the view and enjoy the lovely grassy area. It’s just a short stroll to the river to chuck a line in, and the staff are very helpful.
