Wangaratta Motor Inn

Dig was understanding and very helpful when I called in the morning. With the Nth East bushfires nearby, we felt we needed to get out of their path. We had two little dogs, and found this place by searching for somewhere dog-friendly with a pool. He let us arrive early for a small fee. It's a straightforward, old-fashioned motor inn: you can park right outside your door. The rooms aren't big or fancy, but they're clean, comfortable and have everything you need, including free wifi. The location is central, under a five-minute walk from the main drag, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The pool is simple, but on that hot day it was just right for taking the kids' minds off things. Lots of families were staying, and the place feels family friendly. Management are working on improvements over time, including planting shade trees. There are plenty of staff, and they're friendly and extremely helpful. We'd definitely stay again. I'd suggest calling places directly instead of using the big booking sites. Venues may match the advertised price, and still avoid paying the booking fees.

A flat tyre on the way to a long weekend in Bright meant we needed somewhere at short notice. My partner and child were with me, and after a quick Google we found Wangaratta Motor Inn. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the hot shower was just what we needed. The room wasn't fancy, but the location was good with plenty of food nearby. Best of all for me, the tyre shop was only a couple of doors away.

Clean and comfortable, with a great location and lovely staff. It had the basics we needed, and restaurants, a supermarket, Kmart and the main street were all close by. The staff were so friendly and helpful, from arranging early check-in to sorting out a TV issue that was my fault. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.

The friendly, helpful staff made the stay even more pleasant, and parking was easy. The area felt quiet and safe, with a relaxing atmosphere. Wangaratta Motor Inn is also well placed for getting to the town centre, shops and restaurants. Our room was spacious, very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and everything needed for a short or longer visit. It felt like good value for the price. I'd definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Wangaratta for work or a holiday.
