There’s plenty to like here: a roomy lounge, outdoor spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, lots of parking, and it’s close to the beach. The showers are especially good, with shelves and hooks. The beds were comfortable, though they squeaked a lot. A few things could be better: no outlets by the top bunks, awkward stairs that are hard to climb if you’re short, and my pillow was huge and hard. Luckily my boyfriend had a flatter one, so we swapped. Still had a really nice stay and would recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hostel was clean, including the beds. It’s close to the beach, which is handy. I ended up in the 16-bed dorm because there weren’t other rooms available. Some people there seemed to be farm workers, and they went to bed early and were up around 4am. I’d book ahead and try for a room with fewer beds. It was a good stay overall.

Hiring surfboards, SUPs, snorkelling gear and other equipment here is easy, and it’s the cheapest place in the area for it. You’ll need to carry everything down to the beach yourself, though. The building is really old and feels dark and dingy inside, and the exterior is pretty grungy too.

It really did feel like a home from home. The hostel is very clean, has great facilities, and is a short walk from the beach. The staff were so helpful, even taking me to the supermarket and picking me up from the train station. Highly recommend it.

The supermarkets are a bit far away, but there are lovely beaches nearby and an amazing coastal path. The hostel is clean, and the staff are great. I love it!
