City View Motel Warwick

A very basic motel, and the bedside lamps were missing, which made it hard to see at night. The EV chargers on site don't work, and there weren't any working chargers in Warwick. I wouldn't stay here again.

Gary sent us off with a cheerful goodbye after Debbie gave us a friendly, warm welcome when we arrived tired from a long day on the road. The room had what we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, including the well-appointed bathroom. I especially liked the shower head, which could be handheld or used overhead, and the water was hot and strong. Although the motel is on the main road into town, there was hardly any traffic noise. The care given to service and guest comfort really shows.

The location worked well for me. I thought the walk into the city was short, despite another review saying it was too far. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, with a comfortable bed, working aircon, and good shower pressure. It was a little dark and dingy, though, and trucks occasionally made a racket as they passed at night. Getting in was frustrating. I arrived around 3pm on Saturday to find reception closed and a phone number to call. No answer on two calls, so I left a message and wandered around for about 15 minutes, calling again before I finally got a callback and could access the room. I was pleased to see an EV charger, but disappointed it wouldn't charge. The lights were green and it had power, and my car registered as plugged in, but charging never started. No one was at reception early Sunday, so I took the car elsewhere to charge while I had breakfast.

The motel was very comfortable and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely come back. The shower floor was quite slippery, which gave me some concern as an elderly guest, but it was good to have a handrail in the shower. Thanks for a nice stay.
