The woman who checked me in was really friendly, and the room was clean. The bathroom could use a proper scrub, but for the price I paid it was a decent stay. It’s an older-style motel, handy to the shops and restaurants. I’d stay again if I’m back in Wellington.

The room was gross. There was hair under the bed, and the sheets, shower, and toilet were all dirty. My TV didn't work, and the air conditioner smelled awful when I switched it on. All night, a light kept going on and off, shining straight into the room.

We stayed at Crown Motel for two days while visiting Wellimgton, and it was great value. The staff were helpful, the rooms were tidy, and the bed may have been the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants are all close by. I'd happily recommend the motel.

The location is the one good thing here. Our room was filthy and poorly maintained, with a dirty mini-fridge and curtains that looked moldy. Bright floodlights stay on and shine into the rooms, and there was noise through the night from people I assume live there full time. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay.

We got in late from Melbourne and found our keys in a lock box. The rooms were nicely presented, and the location was great.
