The room and building were beautiful, and the host was very, very nice. Breakfast was basic but satisfying, with fruit, bread and homemade preserves. The only drawback was the bathroom down the hall, shared with other guests. It didn’t cause a problem this time since we were the only guests staying that evening. A very comfortable place, and I’d stay again.

Cliff and Fi were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had a spacious, very clean room with an ensuite and some lovely little extras. Breakfast was simple but enough, with several cereals, tea, coffee, fruit juice, a small pack with fruit and crumpets, and bread for toast. The grounds were lovely, though they’ve been suffering from the very dry weather in Tassie. A fantastic B and B, highly recommend. We’ll be spending another two nights there before heading back to the mainland. Denis and Lynne

We travelled with two infants and booked through AirBnB. The shared bathroom was a real issue: one toilet and shower for five rooms meant long waits. We could hear the highway next door, and the path to the building was very dark, with poor lighting on arrival so I couldn’t find reception. We arrived 15 minutes past check-in, at 9:15pm, and didn’t feel welcome. I hadn’t known check-in cut off at 9pm, and the host hadn’t mentioned it at all in our conversations.

Cliff would greet us each morning, and the gardens at this place are amazing. I loved the building inside and out, and it has some history that Cliff can explain. We stayed two nights in the room near the balcony and highway, so there was some noise, though it wasn’t too annoying. The town is an easy five-minute trip, and with the highway entrance right beside the stay it’s quick to get around. Thanks for making our first ever B&B experience a great one.

This place really came to our rescue when we got our ferry booking wrong and couldn’t find anywhere to stay late at night. Fifi was accommodating and helpful. The old building is absolutely stunning and very comfortable. I only wish I’d had more time there.
