Lakeview Motel

The staff were very polite, parking was plentiful, the location was quiet, and the rooms were clean. The shower was hot and the pressure okay. Still, I couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep on the uncomfortable bed, so those good points weren’t enough to make me happy with the stay. I chose this old school style accommodation because it had good reviews. The bed was very hard and came with just two flat, mediocre pillows. There weren’t any extras anywhere, and I barely got a couple of hours of sleep. The pre-set air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted, and the old box-in-the-wall unit was crazy noisy as it kicked on and off all night. Eventually I gave up and turned it off. Also, I’d never seen a toilet roll holder that looked like an anti-vandal device in a non-public toilet before. A bit odd.

Tony and his family are so welcoming and helpful. The lakeside motel’s rooms are clean and comfortable. I can only rave about it, I’ve never been disappointed.

The fittings in the rooms have never been updated, and the cleaners need to do a much better job. The bed was so hard I slept on the floor because it was softer. I can’t see how anyone could get a good sleep unless they were blind drunk. I wouldn’t stay there again.

It was our first time staying at the Lake View Motel and we enjoyed it. Tony, the owner, was friendly, welcoming and gave exceptional service. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean and well appointed. The motel is handy for getting into town and to restaurants, and it has beautiful views of Lake Mulwala.
