The fish and chips and burger were both so good. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and came with a really tasty sauce. The burger had a toasted bun, chargrilled patty, cheese, and pickle, just right. Service was fantastic, and the food came out quickly. We had a seniors fish and chips, and the drinks were a decent size too. Lovely spot for a meal. We’ll be back, and might even bring the kids next time if they’re lucky. 10/10

The staff were helpful and courteous throughout, and there was a good menu to choose from. We had the chicken parma and a regular chicken schnitzel, both generous in size and well prepared. It’s a lovely old country pub with a classic 19th century feel. We had a very good lunch and would happily go again.

The food tasted great, though the blowflies inside added a bit of a 70s country pub feel. Saturday lunch seemed stretched thin, with one person covering the bar and bistro, and perhaps just one in the kitchen judging by how long the turnaround took. There was only one beer on tap, plus some cans in the fridge that were only kind of cold.

We had a great night after coming for a meal before our New Year’s celebration. The food was delicious, and the entertainment was well worth waiting for, even though it started a little later than expected. Highly recommend.
