Yea Riverside Caravan Park

Villa 4 was a clean, comfortable base for our family getaway, and you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping it inviting. The whole park was well maintained, clean, and genuinely family friendly, so we felt relaxed and welcome. The kids found the playground almost straight away and were in heaven. They kept busy for hours between it, the jumping pillow, and digging in the sand. The new owners were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. We highly recommend this clean, quiet place for families. We’ll definitely be back.

Our group had a lovely time together in the shared areas at Yea Riverside Caravan Park. The grounds and communal facilities were spacious, enjoyable, and well maintained. The bathroom and shower in our cabin looked clean, which we appreciated. We had booked a cabin advertised for six, but it felt small and dated for six adults. With only two or three of us staying there, it was manageable. The bedding and cabin cleanliness were a real disappointment. There were bugs in the bed when we arrived, including dead ones that I had to wipe away with a towel before we could use it. We felt uneasy, so we put our own sheets over the supplied bedding. I had itching during the nights and even the next day after leaving, which made us question how thoroughly the cabin had been cleaned before we arrived. There were also a few misunderstandings about cars and charcoal BBQs. That information could have been clearer when booking or on arrival. We still enjoyed being together as a group, and the park has plenty going for it, but management needs to give the cabin cleaning, especially the bedding, more attention.

There’s a lot to enjoy here: a pool, laundry, big pizza oven room, and great amenity blocks. The ones at the rear have modern full ensuite bathrooms, and they were very clean. There’s room for everyone, from tent groups to the biggest motorhome or caravan, and they’ll happily bring a fire pit to your spot if you ask at the office. It’s only a 10 minute walk into town, with an amazing pub, butcher, and bakery. We spent two peaceful nights here in our Coaster bus. The new owners are friendly and extremely helpful. There was so much bird life, including Bell birds, Cockatoos, and ducks, and in autumn all the trees were in full colour. Add Yea Riverside Caravan Park to your list if you’re looking for a great place to stay. 5 stars!

The unpowered grounds gave us plenty of space to choose where to set up, and we felt comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, better than you often find at caravan parks. The place seemed set up for all kinds of guests, with a great kids’ playground and a decent sized pool. There was also a coffee van during our stay, which was convenient and had tasty food and drinks. A great idea. The main problem was the rule allowing only one car on the campsite at a time. That would make sense if the campground was full, but although the park had lots of families, the tent area wasn’t full and there was easily room for a second car without affecting anyone else. The site manager, I assume that was their role, was strict about the policy and quite blunt when we arrived. We were told a second code could be arranged so we could bring another car to load our gear when leaving, but when we asked, that request was refused because the park was “at maximum capacity”. There were more than adequate spaces on both sides of our site. I think the one car policy should be reviewed, along with the manager’s blunt attitude on arrival.
