Driftwood On The Beach

The inside of Unit 7 was clean and tidy, and it was a nice easy walk to the beach. From our unit, though, we could only see the Byfield highway. The outside light at the unit downstairs stayed on for both days and reflected into our unit all night. The biggest issue was that the next door unit's bathroom backed onto our verandah, which felt uncomfortable whenever they were in there and we were outside. Lovely units, but I'd recommend them for non-smokers who are willing and able to climb stairs.

The units are clean and well appointed, though a little dated. The location is awesome.

I'd give zero if I could. We drove 8 hours, got there, and put the pin in to get the key for Unit 7, but it wouldn't open. We contacted the number provided and got no response. We paid $700 for this unit, and now we have to drive around looking for somewhere for our 4-day stay. The communication is disgusting. Very disappointed. We'll never come here again, ever.

The beds were comfy, the aircon worked, and my son and I felt safe, so it wasn't an "I hate it" stay. Still, I don't know if I can recommend this place without being honest about both sides. The location is quiet and good, but it's farther back from the beach than we expected, and big sand dunes block the view. Our apartment's only view was the road. Inside, the furniture was high quality, but the apartment was extremely old and run down, with the bathroom wall falling apart. The pool was beautiful, but it was full of leaves, and the ladder was rusty. As a larger lady, I didn't feel comfortable that it would hold my weight, so I didn't swim. The carpark is tiny, and our car didn't fit the spot. It seemed like anyone with a 4WD had the same problem, and we all swapped around to park in guest spots.
