The host gave us a lovely welcome, and the linen and hot shower were good. The room was quite nice, but it felt overpriced for what it was. Cleaning could use a little more attention. We were told the rooms would be serviced daily, and the website says the same, but that didn’t happen.

Stacy stayed around to help when I arrived later than expected, and she was really friendly. On a cold winter’s night, the room felt warm and inviting, and it was very clean. I loved the bathroom too. A great boutique place right in York.

We had a very comfortable bed and clean, tidy rooms at SPOOKY HALL. Four of us stayed in two rooms on Saturday 12 November, and the location was great for exploring York. Stacy was a wonderful host. We’d happily stay there again.

We’ll definitely come back. The room was spacious and very clean, with free wifi and Netflix, and it felt private and quiet despite being right in the middle of the city. The modern bathroom looked like new, with a rain shower and good water pressure. There’s also a large parking lot.

The two dogs were such a delight, and the hosts were lovely and friendly. The room was clean and spacious, with great facilities, and the location was central. We’ll definitely be back.
