Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

My wife was really looking forward to the massage I scheduled for her. We filled out the paperwork saying she was NOT PREGNANT, but when she arrived, a woman asked when she was due and why she’d said she wasn’t pregnant. My WiFE IS NOT PREGNANT! That threw off the whole mood. She said it was the worst massage she’d ever had, basically just lotion being rubbed around, and that the masseuse didn’t seem to know where her muscles were. It also affected her state of mind for the rest of our vacation. I wouldn’t recommend this spa.

We love Aruba and stay at Divi resorts for 4-5 weeks each year through our timeshares. We’ve stayed many times at Divi Beach Cub, the Golf club and the Tamerian. Phoenix was our first time, and we liked the resort, but I’d rather stay closer to town, somewhere like Divi Beach Cub or Golf club where we can walk in.

I’ve been coming here for a few years because my mom has a timeshare, and I’ve never had a complaint. The service is OUTRAGEOUS, especially from Julio and the pool attendants, who are wonderful. Everyone at the Divi Phoenix and around the Island is so friendly. I love coming back each year.

We eventually left without eating after sitting at the bar, where 4-5 bartenders were looking at their phones instead of asking if we wanted to order. We started with water and hoped to get drinks too, but the bartender took my menu before I’d chosen anything. We did manage to order an App, but she never asked for our drink order. We weren’t wearing Divi wrist bands, and before greeting us the female Hispanic bartender loudly announced we couldn’t charge to our room or pay cash, only credit cards. That process is posted on a sign and is common knowledge. My husband owns here, and we were visiting for several weeks, including a non-Divi week. This wasn’t our first problem at Pure Beach. We gave it another try hoping for a better experience, but the service was non-existent, despite the beautiful property. The Bar Manager tried to win us back, but the damage was done. I’d give zero stars if I could, and we won’t return.
