The food was the big disappointment. Other than the Japanese restaurant, which was a must and gave us an amazing hibachi night, the options were probably the worst I've had at an all-inclusive. The pancakes came out undercooked on several occasions, and there wasn't much choice. At the buffet below the Italian restaurant, the woman serving us was probably the rudest person we encountered. At the pasta station, a woman who only spoke Spanish frustrated other guests too. She held my food until I tipped her. My husband and I were really disappointed with the food overall and with that woman. A five-star hotel with two-star food at best. The room was always well kept by the cleaning staff, and I loved the pool, beach, music, and acrobatic show. The pool activities and drinks were always fun.

Zotina’s work ethic really stood out, and Zulay and Glenn brought cheerful energy and were ready to help with anything we needed. The buffet staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, and made each meal enjoyable. My kids had an amazing time, and we loved the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere at the Barcelo.

Carmen Chavez at L'olio was fantastic and gave us our best interaction at the main restaurants. At Palm restaurant, Charisa, Jineth, and Ruthmila were great during breakfast, and Fray was a bright spot in the evenings after a long day. We appreciated just about everything here and would love to visit again.

Erica Jaramillo Rodriquez was incredibly compassionate and dedicated to making sure our needs were met. She was the only person who was exceptionally helpful and sympathetic, and she made our stay enjoyable and stress-free. Her managerial work was outstanding. She deserves a raise, and Barceló should train all its staff to be like her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Erica Jaramillo Rodríguez helped turn a stressful situation into a good part of our trip. A storm in New York stranded our large group in Aruba, extending what should have been a short stay. Erica worked tirelessly to find us extra rooms, coordinate the arrangements, and make sure everyone was looked after. She stayed calm and patient, communicated clearly, and showed real concern for our comfort. Her empathy made the extension feel manageable instead of chaotic. Thanks to her, those unexpected extra days became memorable and enjoyable rather than a travel nightmare. She’s a real asset to the resort, and we’re incredibly grateful for her dedication and care.
