Premier Palace Baku

The worst part was finding out after we got home that more belongings and makeup had gone missing from our suitcases. During the stay, housekeeping had already taken some things, then apologized and returned a phone charger, new mascara, and nail polish. Earlier on, our first room door wouldn't close at all; after many complaints we were moved, but the old room's door was never repaired and was later given to other guests who had the same problem. The new room had a bathroom fault that was only fixed after we complained. Water was cut off several times, reception was usually unresponsive, and the wind made the windows whistle constantly, which was very disturbing.

We were there for six nights, and the bathroom needed maintenance: it was very old, water leaked onto the floor and from the showerhead, and on two mornings there was no water at all. We also went three nights without hot water. Towels and bed sheets were never changed during the stay. They provided just one room key, which also worked the elevator, so that was inconvenient. This was a very disappointing experience for a hotel calling itself four-star. It barely deserves one.

They gave us an early check-in and the service was fantastic. This is the best hotel on Academician Hasan Aliyev St in baku, quite close to ATB bank for currency exchange.

We spent our days out exploring Baku and came back in the evenings, but day after day the reported problems were still there. The staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, with little interest in sorting out concerns. Reception had very young, inexperienced staff who seemed to lack the skills or authority to help. Even when we raised issues early in the day, we heard “there are no workers” or “it’s too late,” and there was no follow-up the next day. The room was in poor shape. The shower was broken, barely worked, and leaked constantly. Water was lukewarm at best, then freezing cold over the last two days, making it nearly impossible to shower. Our mattress sagged and stayed uncomfortable despite repeated requests to replace it, and the pillows were extremely hard, almost like rocks. Towels and bath linens were not changed at all during our stay. Premier Palace Baku is advertised as a four-star hotel, but it fell far short of basic expectations and barely deserves one star. I found no service, cleanliness, or accountability. I strongly advise against booking it, and think travel companies and agencies should reconsider working with them, since the experience is completely contrary to expectations.
