Alison Boulevard Hotel

We stayed in one of the suites. It was clean and pleasant, and getting there was easy. Nizami Street is just a few minutes away, and breakfast was good without feeling rushed. The staff were helpful.

The location on Boulevard avenue was a real plus, with lots of places within walking distance. But the rooms were far below average, and the service and breakfast were both among the worst I've experienced. There was almost nothing for vegetarians, not even fruit. They have a lot of work to do on the service.

The suite itself was good, and the property is about 10 minutes from the main city. The kitchen staff were accommodating and made baked beans when we asked, but there wasn't a proper vegetarian breakfast, just plain rice and bread. Service was horrible. We had no hot water all day, so after a long flight we couldn't shower. Housekeeping wasn't as expected either. We had to call several times to get clean towels, bottled water, and toiletries, and the reception staff seemed confused and unsure what to do.

The suite had two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower box. One room had a double bed and a single bed, while the other had two sofa beds that worked well for the kids. Still, one set of bed linen didn't seem clean or freshly washed, and the suite was a long way from the elevator, which was a nuisance. There are grocery stores and shops behind the hotel, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the Corniche. Getting in with luggage was harder: there are stairs right at the entrance, and staff only help with bags if you ask. There isn't designated guest parking. The paid lot across the road is the only option, so you have to carry your luggage across. You can pull up in front to unload, but the police may stop you. Breakfast was very basic, with little variety and average taste, so I don't think it's worth paying extra for. The hotel has potential for families, but cleanliness, access, and service fell short.
