The accommodation was very nice and the service good, and the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is away from the city, so I found taxis useful and recommend using Bolt, which was reasonable. For the airport, they quoted 50 manal for a transfer, while a Bolt taxi would cost 13 manal. Breakfast was advertised as a buffet, but it was basic, with an omelette and little variety, even though it was nicely presented. Pool and sauna access cost extra, though I think those should be included for all guests. There aren’t many local amenities nearby. I was also disappointed that they were happy to exchange any cash only on arrival, then declined to do so afterward.

The hotel looked very nice, but its facilities were limited and below average. There were hardly any restaurants nearby, and the hotel cafe and restaurant were very expensive. Service seemed to be arranged around what suited the hotel, rather than its guests.

The staff were supportive, and they let us check in early. It’s a nice, clean hotel, and we had a great time at the big hotel.

It’s fairly close to the beach, so it could suit guests who want to spend time there. But that part of the water isn’t as clean as on the other side of Absheron, and it’s not the best beach in town. The price felt high for this hotel, and the rooms and service weren’t at a high level. You also have to pay extra for facilities that other hotels include in their price. Gym, pool.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but they mainly speak the local language. The rooms were very basic for a hotel presented as five star, and the breakfast buffet was basic too, not even worth three stars to me. There are several restaurants and pools, plus a spa, though it only opens during working hours. The hotel isn’t far from the city center, but traffic makes the trip difficult, so leave early.
