The host is friendly and does her best to help, and although Booking.com says there’s no Wi-Fi, it actually works quite well. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many city attractions. The first room was noisy because of traffic, but they moved us once another room was available. The bedroom doors don’t lock, with no kind of security at all. The bathroom is shared even though Booking.com lists it as private. The beds are uncomfortable, and one had no mattress, just an upholstered base.

Breakfast was generous and the location worked well for us, close to the historic center, and the price was reasonable. The room situation was much less comfortable. It was listed with a private bathroom, but the bathroom was shared and outside, past two other rooms. The air conditioning was in the hallway, so we had to leave our bedroom door open to feel it. The hostess would walk by without warning and look into the room, which left us with no privacy. I think she was trying hard to be welcoming and provide what guests might need, but she sometimes overdid it. The name of the place is fitting, since it is her home, though that made this review difficult for me to write.

Baku is easy to explore from here, with the historic center nearby. The owner was welcoming and very friendly, doing her best to help guests feel comfortable. Breakfast was really tasty, too.

I wouldn't recommend this place. For the same price, you can find more professional options. The staff were very rude, there was no privacy, the doors wouldn't lock, and the air conditioning didn't work.
