It’s good value for solo travelers and groups. The place is clean, quiet, and secure, with cameras and reception covered around the clock in shifts. The one drawback is that the shower areas have curtains instead of doors.

The location is very good and the price is cheap. It’s a hostel, so it’s not especially neat or clean, though acceptable. How well you sleep depends on your roommates, including whether they snore. The staff are good. These days you have to look after your important and expensive things wherever you stay. It’s a time of scams, so try not to carry or keep valuables with you.

There are 15 to 20 guests sharing the basic facilities, but the staff couldn’t keep them working. At first, two of the three men’s toilets were out of service, leaving one for more than 15 men. Fifteen hours later, those two were still unusable, and the third had no lock or latch. Then the water was off for three hours, so nobody could use the toilets, showers, or kitchen faucet. Other guests said the gas had been off for a whole day, making the kitchen unusable, and the Wi-Fi was very slow. The rooms have four bunk beds, or eight beds, and the staff aren’t well organized or very comfortable speaking English. Please don’t stay here, even at a discount. Only consider it if all three men’s toilets are working.

The location is excellent, right in central Baku and just a two-minute walk from the metro. I’ve managed with walking and the metro and haven’t needed a taxi or Uber. The rooms are clean and nice. Most of the staff have weak English, apart from one man who’s only there during the day.
