Hyatt Regency Baku

The staff were really helpful, and the rooms were comfortable enough that after our one day there, we didn't want to leave. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Baku. The bathroom did have one problem, though: there was no Muslim shower.

The reception team made a warm first impression, and a special mention to [service officer Sabina], who was incredibly helpful and made check-in and check-out seamless. Cleaning was meticulous, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The attention to detail and commitment to service exceeded my expectations and made the stay memorable. The service was the standout during my nearly two weeks at the Hyatt Regency Baku. It seemed excellent for every guest, not just for me as a Globalist in the lounge and at breakfast. Duty manager Ilkin was especially kind and friendly, showing genuine interest in guests' lives and travel. Ilkin, David, Nizami, Arzuman, Turhan, and others whose names I'm unfortunately missing all deserve a mention. The general manager introduced himself too. The whole team was welcoming and the hotel felt secure. This is an older, very well-maintained former Park Hyatt in a prestigious, more residential part of Baku, away from the main tourist traffic. The lobby is comfortable without feeling stuffy or overly formal, and the rooms are quite large. I used a suite upgrade award to get a corner room. It continues to deliver the Park Hyatt level of service as a Regency. The gym, run by the third party World Class Gym, really is world-class. It was the best hotel gym I've had access to, with a full 25-meter pool and excellent services. Housekeeping was a perfect 10 out of 10: each day the room was serviced by the time I returned, with ample towels and amenities. The welcome gift was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent, and the main chef made eggs to order. Some details could be better for a hotel of this level, such as the coffee machines, ice, or higher-end juices. Room service food was good overall, with a small service hiccup that they promptly resolved. Lounge dinner was interesting, with a wide, somewhat peculiar array of cold dishes and two hot dishes each night. They were happy to customize items to our preferences. For some reason, taxis can have trouble finding the exact arrival point. I consider this one of the best stays of my travel career across more than 100 countries and thousands of hotels. I plan to return as often as possible, especially since it's a Category 1 for points redemptions. To me, it's the best Category 1 hotel in the world. Don't waste your points elsewhere. Make Baku a priority and stay here. Thank you to the entire team.

The location was very good, and we had a nice view from our spacious room. We stayed two nights, and the staff were super helpful and nice.
