Iris Hotel Baku

Iris Hotel Baku was disappointing from the beginning. Noisy construction surrounds the property, and the rooms are dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. The furniture feels old, and the views are just blank walls. The place doesn't feel welcoming. Unless you're on a very tight budget and willing to give up comfort, there are better options in Baku with cleaner rooms, proper service, and a more pleasant environment. This hotel doesn't deliver.

The team at IRIS Hotel gave us professional, thoughtful service, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel was very clean, too. Ms. Laman was the best hostess I've met, always active and doing her best to anticipate what guests need. Ayner and Etiki were a great help as well. Thanks to the reception and housekeeping teams for their excellent work and for meeting and exceeding our expectations. It was a wonderful, unforgettable stay. See you soon, inshallah. Ali in the restaurant was the one bright spot of my stay. He was kind and helpful. The rest was disappointing. The restaurant on the sixth floor was advertised as an open buffet, but portions were limited and we weren't allowed to take food freely. Communication was difficult because reception staff struggled with English. My room smelled bad and was uncomfortably hot.

Aida at reception was the standout. She was professional, efficient, and incredibly kind, taking care of check-in, restaurant bookings, and local advice with ease and a positive attitude. She's a credit to the hotel and a big reason we'd come back. The hotel itself was excellent, spotlessly clean, and had great amenities.
