La Casa Sahil Hotel

The personal care from the manager, Mr. Alviz, made our stay at La Casa Sahil Hotel Baku special. He was kind and professional, took care of things attentively, and made sure we felt at home. The hotel was comfortable and well located too. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Baku for the hospitality and personal touch.

Elvis was so friendly and helpful. He carried our luggage and helped with everything we needed, which we really appreciated. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay and received great service.

The street is busy and noisy, and even earplugs didn’t make it comfortable to sleep. Worse, the hotel and room were dirty and smelled bad, with stains on the carpet, curtains and furniture. The linen was unhygienic too, with ballpoint marks on it. I’ve attached photos showing this. I’m not especially demanding, but finding dirty pillowcases was too much, so I moved to another hotel. I asked management for at least a partial refund and they refused. I’d rather lose some money than put myself and my loved ones at risk in those unsanitary conditions. The location itself is good, but the staff were uncooperative.

At checkout, staff wanted me to pay again for the taxi I’d already prepaid through the booking. I’d also paid extra for a city-view room, but they didn’t give me the room I reserved. It was a very disappointing experience and felt like a scam. I ran into similar problems elsewhere in the city, which seemed full of scams.
