La Corne Baku Hotel

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of fresh, tasty options. The hotel had a calm, welcoming feel, and the room was comfortable and quiet, with a lovely view and useful little touches that made it feel homey. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff made me feel valued throughout my stay. For the price, I think it delivers good value. I’d be happy to return and recommend it for a pleasant, stress-free stay.

For $25 a night, this is a very cheap place with large rooms and bathrooms compared with other hotels. The rooms have no carpets, and the hotel and furniture are new. Staff are thoughtful and helpful. Nerimanov Metro Station is about a five-minute walk away. There are two supermarkets, a pharmacy and a hospital opposite. The room has an air conditioner that works well, a TV, safe and hairdryer, plus two large, two medium and two small towels, two shampoos and two soaps. There’s also a minibar, but it was empty. No kettle, tea, coffee, glasses or water were provided. Wi-Fi is very unreliable and almost never works. Breakfast isn’t included. Rooms facing the backyard are noisy, and you have to ask reception for cleaning or it won’t be done. The hotel is 10 km from the centre, so a taxi costs $3.

The staff were kind and experienced, and the Fuud restaurant inside the hotel serves distinctive dishes from around the world. There’s also a supermarket nearby that’s open 24/7. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, and the air conditioning worked very well. Neriman Nerimanov underground station is within walking distance. You can also order a cab on a mobile app, which is cheap, around 1.5 USD for 5 km. I hope to visit Baku and this nice hotel again.

It was a good stay, though a little pricey.
