My Music Hotel Baku

The noise from outside came through because there was no sound insulation, and the hotel was far from the tourist places. I asked reception to cancel the remaining days on my booking, but they refused to refund the rest of the money I'd paid. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in Baku.

I only stayed one night. The music in the rooms was so loud that you couldn't sleep, and young people were awake all night and all day. This is a hotel I would never go to again. I explained my situation to Mr. Mohamed, and he helped me. He's the best person there, thanks to him.

The room smelled strongly of hookah, and the window was blocked, so I couldn't air it out. That was horrible for me because I can't stand that smell. The room was also dusty and unclean, as my photo shows, and I had no room service for four days. They didn't change the towels either. The shared-use slippers seemed likely to spread foot fungus. The safe door wouldn't work. They said they'd replace it, but nobody did, then blamed me for refusing when I sent a complaint. The bathroom lock jammed because of their carelessness. I shouted and banged on the door for half an hour before a neighbor heard and called the administration. The internet was terrible, and singing neighbors woke me at 6 in the morning. On departure day, I requested an early transfer. The administrator didn't know English or Russian, so a waiter helped us communicate. The administrator said he would call for the transfer and that it would arrive an hour before the scheduled time, but he didn't call. The driver came late and took us to the airport when check-in was already 20 minutes late. We were late for the flight because of them. The administrator also tried to tell me the transfer wasn't paid and that I had to pay cash. I found proof of payment, so I paid him nothing. I tried to contact them, but they didn't want to take responsibility.

I had booked ahead and even called before arriving to check that everything was ready. Still, I was left waiting at reception for about 45 minutes while nothing was being done.
