Hotel Nemi was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the working lift made getting around easy. It's in the middle of Baku, and the management and staff were friendly and cooperative. Breakfast was good, too, making it a nice start to the day. I had a pleasant stay and found it a great choice for comfort in the city.

The location is really convenient for getting around Nizami Street's main shop, and the old city is within walking distance. Oscar deserves five stars for the great service. He's kind, approachable, and quick to respond to requests. Our concern was cleanliness, especially in the toilet. Since we shower every day, the shower drain needs daily cleaning because our hair blocks the water. The toilet bidet also leaked every time we used it and needs fixing.

We had a good stay at Nemi Hotel and would book it again. It’s a budget-friendly option in a really convenient spot, with helpful, accommodating staff. No place is perfect, but this worked well for us.

The location suited our plans, especially since we needed to be near the Jewish Community and Synagogue. I know that won’t matter to everyone. The front desk staff were helpful, and cleanliness wasn’t a problem for us. When our taxi driver couldn’t make change for a 100 Manat note and didn’t speak English, the duty manager covered the fare. We paid him back the next day, and that was that. There were quite a few room details that could use attention. The bathroom door veneer was peeling, the wardrobe alcove had no useful light, and our double bed had a nightstand on only one side. The kettle came with just two tea sachets, no coffee and no cups, though we’d brought our own. I can’t comment on the minibar because we didn’t use it. The linens were alright, but the towels were small and threadbare. Shower pressure was weak, and there were no shelves in the bathroom for toiletries or a shaver. The hairdryer was good. There didn’t seem to be any bathroom heating, and the room thermostat didn’t appear to work, although that didn’t end up mattering. Breakfast was an odd setup. It didn’t begin until 8:30, so we missed it one morning when our tour needed us earlier. Salads, cheese, jam, fruit and cakes were all laid out together on one round table without much order, and there wasn’t much hot food. It felt more like afternoon tea at a fete than a hotel breakfast. The price was okay and the location was good, but there are several things the hotel could improve.

We ended up here by chance after our reservation at another hotel was cancelled when we arrived in baku. The reception team were helpful, even bringing our suitcases over from the other place. The rooms are plain but clean, with a kettle and tea. It’s easy to get around from here on foot, with Nizami street’s main shops nearby and the old city just a few minutes away. Breakfast is very limited, though fair enough for the price. The reception area was always tidy and smelled lovely. A good pick for a short, budget stay in baku.
