Getting around the hillside can be tiring, since the cottages are spread out, so having a car helps. The mountain setting near Shahdag is lovely, with beautiful views that suit a peaceful family or couples’ break. I found the chalets and cottages spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and mountain views. Some guests mentioned tricky heating and minor room maintenance issues, though comfort was generally good. The spa, indoor pool, sauna, and wellness facilities were highlights for many, though a few felt the water temperature and some services could be better. Staff were often described as friendly and helpful, but reception and maintenance responses could be slow. Breakfast varies by day: some guests liked it, while others found it basic and short on variety. It’s a good choice if nature, views, and relaxation facilities are what you’re after. Feedback was mixed from people expecting top-level service and flawless facilities, though many still rated their stays highly.

The rooms are quite plain inside, but the view right outside was stunning. We had a lot of fun and wished we could stay another day to make use of everything. The hotel includes a children’s play area, fitness center, and Turkish bath at no extra cost. Breakfast was decent, and paid activities include ziplining, buggy rides, off-road experiences, and gaming areas.

The rooms stayed warm and comfortable, though insects or spiders could turn up at any time. The location is amazing, but it feels like they take advantage of it. We booked full board for one night and found the food cold, tasteless, and limited in variety. When a dish ran out, staff said it was finished and told us to choose something else instead of bringing more. The pool and sauna were good, but the attendant was also doing waiter and cleaning duties. There were activities for children, but most were broken and unusable.

The dishes at Zarif Restaurant were all very well prepared and high quality, and we had one of our best lunches there. We only wish we’d found the place sooner. It gets packed at night, so booking ahead is recommended.

The resort’s staff are the reason I’m giving it five stars. They’re warm and work hard. The same restaurant staff serve breakfast and dinner all day, and still greet you with a smile and real hospitality. Lovely people.
