What made this stay stand out was how helpful and friendly the owner was. I reached out on WhatsApp and got help with trip questions, from advice about Sheki sightseeing and currency to arranging a taxi across the Georgian border. A shared car can also be arranged. I've rarely met accommodation hosts this friendly, even in Japan. The room was comfortable and spacious. It had an oil heater, a heated bathroom, a bidet with hot water, and reliable hot water overall. The bed was soft, and there was a hairdryer and an extension cord that fit a Type A plug. A large supermarket is nearby, and the caravanserais and other facilities are easy to reach. Though it's listed as a guesthouse, having the bathroom and kitchen inside the room makes it feel more like an apartment hotel. It's quiet, with no shared area for guests to chat, which suited me as someone with social anxiety. I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Sheki.

The four cats are adorable and try to slip into your room when you open the door, so be prepared if you're a cat person. The owner is super kind, the Wi-Fi is stable, and the rooms are clean. I have nothing to complain about and would 100% recommend it if you don't mind cats!
