The peaceful garden is a great place to stretch out in one of the hammocks and listen to the birds. We were on a motorcycle trip and loved the location, the warm welcome from the moment we arrived and the fantastic hosts. The homemade food was excellent, using fresh produce from the garden, and the homemade rakija was a lovely extra. Highly recommended for a relaxing, authentic stay with great hospitality.

There’s loads of potential here, and it’s already a nice place with clean, tidy conditions. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and motorcyclists are welcome.

The garden and the hosts were what made this holiday home memorable. There are lots of places to sit, plus hammocks and swings, and blackberries growing everywhere for snacking. The river is cold but you can swim in it, and there are plenty of stones to play with. We spotted a few small, harmless snakes one afternoon. They set up a little pool for our baby, and the hostess gave her attention whenever she could. We stayed with our seven-year-old and baby. There are two small holiday houses, with a third being built. Parking is available. The houses are very basic and sparsely furnished: two beds upstairs, a sofa bed behind a curtain downstairs, plus a small bathroom with a shower and a TV upstairs. The stairs are very steep, and there’s a small balcony with a nice view. There’s no air conditioning, though some rooms have insect screens. The river nearby cools things down pleasantly in the evening, so we slept well. The kitchen is old and rustic but has a refrigerator and hotplate, enough for simple meals. I’d suggest taking the hosts up on their offer of food. They lovingly cook hearty local dishes by hand with ingredients grown on the property. They also offered us homemade schnapps as a welcome drink, and juice and coffee were available through the day. They don’t speak German or English, only Serbian, but we managed to communicate and used a translator when we needed one. Shops are in Foca, about a 10-minute drive away. The final two kilometers are narrow but easy to drive. One night is too short, you could easily spend two or three days here relaxing in nature and enjoying the food. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
