irish House Medjugorje

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year, please God. The apartment was bright, spacious, and very clean, with good air conditioning in the rooms. Cutlery, cooking utensils, and toiletries were provided, and there’s parking available to hire a car if needed. Staff were very helpful and around from morning until night.

The apartment is spacious and bright, with a great location: five minutes on foot to the church and two minutes to a grocery store. The 14th night was free. But the floor hadn’t been cleaned. There were breadcrumbs under the kitchen table, fluff and other debris, and lots of hair everywhere. Mopping was the first thing I had to do after arriving. Furniture was dusty, and the place felt like it was deteriorating: dirty walls, old worn furniture falling apart, and half the light bulbs not working. There was no room service during the first week. In the second week, all they did was take out the kitchen garbage every other day. Kitchenware was old and worn, and there weren’t enough kitchen supplies. The bathroom had a terrible, constant smell, with no window to air it out and a fan about the size of my palm. The living room AC faces the entrance door instead of the room, so if you sit off to the side you can’t really feel the cool air. Despite being advertised as soundproof, the apartment had no soundproofing at all. You could hear everything, including neighbours talking, walking, and using the bathroom. The internet was off more often than it worked. During the second week, the washing machine suddenly disappeared while I was out. No one warned me, and it was never returned. When I asked, the receptionist didn’t know and had to call room service. They said it had been taken for maintenance. There was no apology or warning. Reception staff were disappointing too. Only two young women showed kindness and care; the others were either absent or seemed not to care. I imagine this place was one of the best in the area some years ago, but now it’s deteriorating and management doesn’t seem to care. It definitely isn’t a four star hotel, and I won’t be coming back.

The apartments were comfortable, spacious, and good value, and the staff were really exceptional. We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed it a lot. Thank you so much!

I stayed there in May 2025, and it was awful. The place was very dirty, and there was no way to get in touch with reception. Service was very bad, the internet didn’t work, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and the main holes were flooding.
