Villa Odobasic

We travel a lot, and sometimes plans go wrong. I don't want to control everything, I prefer to let things flow. After the hardest year of my life, my life partner wasn't feeling well but still agreed to come to Mostar to support our cliff divers. On the way there, we ended up without accommodation in a gas station parking lot in Podgorica. Thankfully, the people at the station let us use their wi-fi to look for somewhere else to stay. We were already running late when the host said we couldn't check in then because the gate made a lot of noise and the neighbours were unfriendly. We also needed to collect our friend at Mostar Airport. They were flying from Zagreb to meet us, and the plane was due in at midnight. I still don't understand why it's called the 'hospitality industry'. Isn't being hospitable a prerequisite? I've always tried not to hurt people and to see every side of a story, but this left me with a bitter taste. I don't feel I did anything wrong. I've had flights arriving at 3 or 4 am in other parts of the world, and we always found a solution together. I'm writing this because I want to warn travellers who know they'll arrive late to find somewhere else in Mostar. I also hope this is a warning for the host. Maybe it just wasn't a good day, and I'm sorry if that explains the reaction. I hope future guests are treated with the respect and love they deserve. I didn't manage to stay, and I expect a very rude reply from the owner, which would be unlike BiH, a place I'll always love.

The rooms are clean, new, and lovely, and the price is great. The owner is very helpful, just contact him if you need anything. Would highly recommend!

We stayed four nights with my wife. The owners are very nice, and there's free parking on site. The rooms were very clean, and it's a five-minute walk to the historic Stari Most Bridge. I strongly recommend it. No need to look for another hotel.

We first stayed at Villa Odobasic last year, and the quality hasn't slipped at all. Everything is just as we remembered it, and it remains one of our favorite stops on our two-week Balkan vacation. This time we're here with my wife, our baby, and me. Our room is spotless, the pillows are very comfortable, and everything feels clean and comfortable. Thanks to the owners for being so attentive. It's also a five-minute walk from the Mostar bridge and close to the bus stops. I especially recommend it to Turkish families like ours, since cleanliness matters a lot to us. You can choose it with your eyes closed.
