I was given a ground-floor room, and it smelled really bad. There are loud bars right outside that stay open until 4am on weekends. They ask for cash up front, which makes it hard to seek compensation if something goes wrong. Sarajevo has plenty of better places to stay.

The food is what makes this place stand out for me. Since the new owners took over, the prices have dropped, portions have grown, and the quality has gone way up. The location, decor, and service are great too. Want to get married? Bring your girl. Hoping to become a millionaire? Bring your boss. Looking for a political fix for Bosnia's problems? This restaurant can't manage that one, but 2/3 isn't bad. Good Lord, it's awesome.

We stayed here during the Sarajevo film festival, which was taking place right outside the house, but the noise didn't carry in, so we slept well. The place was clean and nice, with great service. It's right in the heart of Sarajevo, and I'd come back.

The apartment was clean and really convenient, and the service was very good. The Sarajevo film festival was on while we were there, but none of the music outside could be heard inside.
