The room was dated and we had to climb three flights of stairs to reach it. Reception is on the ninth floor, and the lobby is easy to miss because it shares space with a residential block. Still, the view from our room was unbelievable, a full 180 degrees over the town, hillside houses, and mountains. Even my room at a 53-storey luxury hotel in chengdu couldn't compare. Find that view in Switzerland for 90 euros! The hotel sits at the start of the pedestrian shopping street, with the old town, big malls, martyrs cemetery, and cable car to Trebevice mt all within walking distance. The famous Sarajevo river is just a few minutes away, and the town reminded me of CHUR, switzerland. Breakfast was good, served as a platter with fried omelette and cold cuts, and reception service was good too. I could give it five stars, though I think 4.5 is more deserved.

The hotel's cafe has a balcony with incredible city views, and the panorama from the hotel is amazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is close to the historical center, with plenty of restaurants and nightlife nearby. One surprise: the elevator only goes to the lobby, so we had to walk up three flights of stairs to our room.

The Saint Sebastian cake was really good when they had it, though it's not always on offer. The pancakes and crepes are good too. I only know the little restaurant at the top, not the hotel itself. On a warm summer night, it's a nice, relaxed place to get away from the crowds. The entrance is just right of the eternal flame, and an elevator takes you up. There's a 360-degree terrace looking over the old town to the east and the city centre to the west. I usually stop for juice or tea and unwind above the crowd below.

The hotel's location inside the city made it easy to get to the market, SCC, and lots of shops and outlets. We had a really enjoyable stay, with good food, service, and hospitality throughout. The staff were warm and helpful. Thanks for the experience.

Right at the start of the promenade, with a great bar and an amazing city view. The front desk people are friendly, and so are the people around town. Viva Sarajevo!
