Residence Prime Luxury

A nice, handy place for a night or two, and the apartment was cute. A friendly older woman greeted us and showed us our room; the host came by the next day to collect the room charge. I was close to giving it five stars, but on our last night someone checked in after 10:30 p.m. and the host spoke very loudly right outside our door. We had an early start, so that made the night unpleasant.

For 60 quid a night, right in the centre of Sarajevo, it was hard to complain. We booked very, very last minute, when finding central accommodation that didn’t break the bank was proving difficult. The rooms were big and clean, with a little kitchenette, and you could ask for extra cooking items if you wanted. The man who met us was wonderful, and so was the housekeeper. She didn’t speak English and I didn’t speak Bosnian, but she was warm, lovely, and sweet. It’s not a luxury place, but it was ridiculously central and so reasonable.

Parking would have been difficult without the hotel manager’s help. He drove there with us and even offered to carry some of our luggage the short distance. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and made our time in Sarajevo a wonderful experience. We left wanting to return to Residence Prime and Sarajevo. The hotel was very clean, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. A huge thank you!

I loved Sarajevo, but this place is expensive for what you get. It’s a privately owned building with just six rooms, not really a hotel, and there’s no elevator or amenities. The internet gets 0 out of 10. Even using my own data, the signal was still very bad. I’d warn anyone with an older lady or gentleman not to rent here, because the stairs are brutal. Also, if you request a queen or full bed, they’ll push two single beds together. The gap in the middle makes it uncomfortable. Please see the attached picture.
