Lunch with my clients at Golden Sands on Saturday turned into a great time. They ran into people they knew, the food was amazing, and the karaoke was on point. I’d do it again.

We had supper and breakfast there, and both meals came late, especially breakfast. The food didn’t taste bad, though. There isn’t much to do nearby, and walking to the closest shops or entertainment takes about 20 minutes along a lonely, dark road. Bring your own bath gel and wash rag, since neither is provided. Maybe I’m spoiled.

The souse was well seasoned and salted, and the pudding was perfect. We had a thoroughly enjoyable Souse Saturday at Golden Sands with my in-laws. The wait staff were always on the move, efficient, and courteous. The karaoke was, well, karaoke, but seriously, it was good to see the obvious regulars having such a great time.

We used to go for the Sunday lunch buffet every week, but we won’t be returning. On my last visit, I served myself about half a plate, expecting to go back for more, and was told only one plateful was allowed. The advertised price was $50 or maybe $55, I forget, but we were charged $70. Now I understand why everyone ahead of me had piled their plates so high.
