The beach view is something else, and the location really lives up to the name. Receptionist Danese was kind and helpful, and let us leave our bags there. The room was only okay. It felt a little dirty and muggy, and the beds were like sleeping on broken wooden floors. Everything seemed old, though for the price it wasn’t too bad. The beach outside is lovely, but the waves can get rough. I’d give it 3.5 if that were an option. It’s a decent place if you’ll be out most of the time. The beds were the main problem for me, both nights were uncomfortable.

We’ve stayed multiple times and keep coming back. It feels like a home away from home, with excellent hosts, managers, and staff. The villas are right on the beach and close to all the amenities. Highly recommend.

For our family group, Beach Vue Apartments was a great fit. Four separate parties could have their own apartments and privacy, then meet up on the shared patio or terrace in the evenings. We tried to keep the noise down for the other guests and nearby turtles. It felt like paradise for us. The beach is right there. You can have coffee or tea in the communal patio while watching and hearing the waves, then take a few steps straight onto the sand. There’s a big shade tree, and Beach Vue also has two wooden parasols on the beach. Worthing beach can sometimes have heavy waves, but we found it quiet and secluded compared with other Barbados beaches, even though it’s close to Bridgetown. There are few people around, little traffic, and no glass bottom boat operators disturbing you. A few local families come on weekends, usually one or two, but it still feels peaceful. The apartments are all different, a bit quirky, with memorabilia and artwork from Barbados' history. It’s not a holiday factory, and I’d rate the rooms and facilities somewhere between two and three stars for their eclectic setup. The charm and Caribbean friendliness make up for that. Anderson, the owner and manager, responds quickly to questions or problems. Denise, the caretaker, is very friendly and helpful, and greets you with a smile. There’s a Massy Stores supermarket about a 10 minute walk away, as well as Clifton Market on Worthing Main Road for fresh produce. Nearby food options include Carib Beach Bar on the next beach and the Worthing Food Court behind the service station. Rockley, also called Accra beach, is close, and Tiki-bar on Rockley Beach is an eight minute walk. At Quayside Shopping Center across from Rockley Beach, about 10 minutes away, there’s a Minimart, food places including Just Grillin and a Chinese restaurant and takeaway, an air-conditioned ATM, and other shops. A local bus station is next to Beach Vue. I sometimes took the yellow government bus into Bridgetown, but mostly used the ZR-buses on Worthing Main Road, also called Highway 7. One comes by about every three minutes on average. There’s a small driveway for parking if you rent a car. We’d happily recommend the place and plan to return. We gave it four stars because things we’d expect to just work sometimes don’t, though they’re fixed as soon as possible. We’ve learned not to expect Northern European standards in the Caribbean, and that’s part of the experience for us. I understand others may be more disappointed when expectations aren’t met, but we enjoy the quirks. Some apartments, mostly those without sea views, are less charming, but the value for a beach property is hard to beat. With the beach outside, we don’t spend much time indoors anyway.

The house is old, and you can hear everyone talking as if there were no walls. It’s very noisy, especially with the road so close. Local buses pass every 30 minutes and honk their horns. The Wi-Fi is useless, and the price is far too high for what you get.

The price and location were good, but the apartment was dark with no natural light. Housekeeping was poor and only occasional, other guests were noisy at night, and there was no car parking or reception.
