The location was ideal for my one-night visit to see the drift ice. Abashiri Station is less than 10 minutes away, and the icebreaker ship pier is an easy walk. My room was small but clean and had what I needed. After a day out in the cold, I was glad to find the public bath quiet and relaxing. The staff were kind and helpful even though we didn’t speak the same language. Breakfast was simple but tasty, especially the miso soup and fresh rice. It’s an affordable, clean place rather than a fancy one, and I’d recommend it to budget travelers.
