You can just sit here and take in the beautiful surroundings without even going to the beach. It's a budget-friendly place to hang out. A strong suggestion for the owners: please don't cut down the trees in front of the resort. They give the place a unique feel. If you want to keep that aesthetic, plant more trees out front.
The waves come within 100 meters of the boundary walls at high tide. There are only eight rooms, so there aren't many staff or other guests to run into. During the day there may be around five staff members, and at night just a bare minimum of two. We liked the view and lack of crowds, and from the first-floor balcony we didn't feel a need to rent a beach deck chair. At the discounted off-peak rate, it was good value for money. This place may struggle to impress anyone looking for a full-service hotel, but it's a good fit if you want a view, a quiet stay, and basic amenities.
The hotel is very close to the beach, which is the only reason I can give it one medal. The management has a problem. They could make this one of the best resorts, but they're just building it up without getting things right. The room quality has gone downhill since my last trip. The generator wasn't available during my previous visit. Last Saturday, from 8:00am to 5:30pm, there was no electricity and even no water. The AC remote didn't work, the washroom wasn't clean enough, the shower tap was damaged, and I found a cockroach in the room. The service level was good enough, but I booked room 01 and they gave me room 05. The complimentary breakfast isn't available now. Their food was good, and I missed those things this year.
From the balcony, the sea views are great. The rooms are decent for the price, though the service could be better. Sugandha beach is known for being crowded, but the hotel still feels secluded and much quieter. Recommended overall.
You can have tea on the balcony while looking out at the sea. The yard also has plenty of flowers and trees, with shade from the sun. The rooms are neat and clean and have all the basic amenities. This is an absolute gem in Cox's Bazar. The place originally started out serving surfers, as its name suggests. It's very close to the beach, but only a few hundred meters from everything else. At 3000-4500 per night it may seem expensive, but you're paying for the tranquility. I'd absolutely recommend it for a solo stay, a couple, or a group of family and friends.
