The room was fairly spacious and the Banani location was nice, but my stay had several problems. Construction somewhere in or around the building meant drilling noises went on through the day and evening, making it hard to rest or work. I also found that the shaving kit among the toiletries had already been used. The previous guest may have put the used razor and shaving foam back in the box, and housekeeping seems to have assumed it was still untouched without checking properly. There was also a clear mix-up between reception and housekeeping. While I was out, a housekeeper entered my room thinking it was vacant. I’d turned off all the lights, but when I got back they were on and the washroom was locked from inside. The staff member came out of the washroom, surprised that I’d checked in that afternoon, and said they hadn’t been told. He apologized and sanitized the washroom again with fresh towels, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Staff were polite when I raised the issues, but management coordination and room preparation need work.
