Memento International

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was for what we paid. It was large, clean, and had comfortable beds, and our complimentary upgrade made it even bigger. The area was quiet and peaceful, and the front desk team were professional, with excellent customer service. The hotel staff were brilliant. We left with a lovely memory of the trip.

Parking was a nightmare: the space is sloped, cramped, risky, and only holds one car. The hotel is pricey for the experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. We stayed a couple of nights, and the rooms were dusty and filthy, with very old interiors. In room 201, flushing the commode made water leak onto the floor underneath it, which made the washroom horrible and unhygienic. The curtains, bedhead, and single sofa were all very dirty and dusty. Don’t put anything on that sofa. There were only two low, uncomfortable pillows for two people. When we asked for another, room service rudely said we already had two and couldn’t have one more. Breakfast was included, but it was basic: egg, bread, butter, jelly, vegetables, and chwemin. The food did taste good.

I was in Dhaka on business and stayed at Memento Int Residence. It has some good points, though a few issues left me at three stars. The area in Uttara is quiet, which made for a peaceful night, and it’s handy for corporate offices and Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly, but the service wasn’t consistent, and cleanliness could be better. The fitness center is basic and breakfast choices are limited. For budget travelers wanting a no-frills stay, it may be suitable, though there’s room to improve the cleaning and service. That’s how it was for me, and preferences can differ.

The road by the hotel is nice for an early morning walk. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and they serve excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The manager and staff are friendly. It’s in Uttara, very close to Dhaka international airport, and suited my business stay in Dhaka well. 👍😃
