Richmond Hotel & Suites

The receptionist was hostile, judgmental, and impolite, asked far too many questions, and was especially disrespectful toward women. This hotel should be sued. Minus 10 rating.

The room needs work: it wasn't very clean, the sofa was cracked, and the window curtain was worn and should be replaced. The housekeeper, a well-behaved young man, did his best to help. Front desk service was subpar, and the staff didn't seem attentive or friendly. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless they make improvements.

The cockroach I found in my room was the last straw. I was shocked and disgusted, and attached pictures of the encounter. The rooms were filthy, with dirty walls, floors, and beds. Cleanliness clearly wasn't a priority, and the dirt was far beyond what I'd expect from any paid accommodation. I've stayed here a few times before; it was never exceptional, but at least tolerable. This recent stay was a nightmare. Management needs to address the hygiene and maintenance immediately. Guests deserve a safe, sanitary place, and this establishment failed even basic standards. I'd tell anyone considering it to choose somewhere else, even if it costs a little more. The extra expense is worth avoiding these revolting conditions and potential health hazards. This was the worst stay I've ever had, and I strongly advise against staying here.

Room 504 was impossible to sleep in because loud traffic noise came in all night. Better soundproofing could have prevented that. The shower took ages too, since water barely came through either the rain shower or handheld one, and most of the holes were blocked. I also waited more than an hour and a half for airport pickup, and the management's excuses were completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, and I'll never return. A massive letdown.
